Community Involvement

The airport managers at the Orr Regional Airport involve the local resort community with their airport by hosting the Area Resort Association's annual meeting each spring. As part of the event, the airport managers cook a barbecue supper for the group. By working with the Area Resort Association, the managers are marketing their airport to the resort community. Vacationers who fly to the resort area benefit from a savings in travel time, and the resort industry and airport benefit from the business.
